Plenty of coaches “hide” behind the X’s and the O’s. They think that tactics and fundamentals are the most important things and they really don’t want to even deal with other “stuff”.

Overcome July 1st Overwhelm: 5 Secrets To A More Peaceful Approach

"I've got so much to do!"  "I've got so many calls to make!"  "I don't know how I'm ever going to fit it all in!"  "Why can't I just have a little more time?"

The recruiting process CAN be overwhelming...if you allow yourself to be stressed, anxious, or panicked.

Your thoughts make you think you're overwhelmed. 

And they're pretty darn good at convincing you of...well, just about anything...because they're your thoughts. 

Your thoughts aren't real.

They're just thoughts.

If you keep thinking and saying, “I just wish I had more hours in my day! I don't have enough time right now to keep up and get everything done that I need to,” this is exactly how you'll FEEL.

Coaches are great at taking this story of overwhelm with them into the recruiting process.

I talk to them and they say things like, “I feel like I’m I haven’t done enough in recruiting by the time July 1st rolls around. I feel like I’m still just catching up.” 

This is NOT a time issue. It's NOT about being more driven or disciplined. 

This is a MINDSET issue.

What you focus on expands

Every day when you wake up and take in a new breath of air, you have two choices. You can focus on the negative or the positive.  Sure, it's tempting to think about how tired you feel, how little sleep you got, or something that you are NOT looking forward to in your day.

Before you go there, remember: what you focus on expands.  If you focus on the negative, it leads into a downward spiral. When you focus on the positive, it leads to an updraft.  The positive pulls you forward, onward, & upward - no matter what challenges are before you.

When you CHOOSE to focus on the positive, you literally shift your paradigm from struggle to strength.
